Dawn has always had an affinity for visual expression in its many forms. Coming from a traditional fine art background her fascination with tattooing started with simple drawings on herself during school days. Unknowingly this small gesture ignited an interest that would change the pathway of her life.

Dawn began tattooing in 2013 in San Diego with an apprenticeship in a quirky beachside street shop. This street shop background has enabled her to be capable of most things that walk through the door. She enjoys whimsical playful concepts in color and tough blackwork ideas. She has an affinity for line work be it bold, or more recently delicate and fine.

Ideally she’d love to tattoo sexy clowns and cats all day but she knows that’s not an everyday request. What’s most important to her isn’t the subject matter but it being  tattooed in an interesting dynamic visual way.

The human connection element of working with another to achieve their vision through her tattooing is highly satisfying and a compelling force of her lifelong interest in the art form.
